Hotel bedrooms were too warm!
Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. The room -staff -service was first class. The breakfast was excellant a great place to stay.
The Abbey is located in the heart of Great Malvern - handy for eating out.
There is quite a lot of noise outside the hotel. Oftern there is noise from the local night club and drunken young people walking past the hotel at the front. Often the Abbey have functions which can be quite noisey. On my first night the music from the function room was so loud that everything in the room was shaken. When I complained I was moved instantly to another room but I could still hear the noise. The rooms can also get very warm thereby the windows must be open - which becomes a problem with the noise!
The staff were friendly, accommodation very comfortable, the grounds were attractive, and the food was good quality.
A good value hotel that I have stayed in before. This year I had a room in the new wing, which was more modern and better decorated. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meals likewise. Special praise to the room staff of my room 322, as on day one the light over the basin failed and I filled in the form provided but forgot to hand it to Reception, However, the room staff saw the form the next morning and dealt with the problem and on my return the light was fixed.......an excellent service that needs recognition.
Good location, reasonable price, good size room. A comment on a comment card about an item of furniture was dealt with immediately
The matress on the bed needs changing, it sags in the middle and is not as comfortable as it should be. The public area carpets are starting to need changing
Good location for visiting Three Choirs Festival at Worcester. Good location for walking in Malvern Hills. Friendly staff. Comfortable 'Superior' Room. Good room service.
Car park too distant from and at different level to the entrance to the hotel. Lack of entrance for elderly people at lowest level - from which lift could be used. Car park full when reaching the hotel in late evening.
staff were efficient & friendly prices were reasonable clean & attractive decor
pillows were too small rooms were not soundproof - I was kept awake till 3:00 am by people in above bedroom
It's position and it's imposing look. The great view from the east facing bedroom on the top floor and the fact that the room and the bathroom were a good size.
The stair carpet is overdue for replacement. The room was big enough for a couple of easy chairs but only upright chairs were provided.
I thought the abbey was a very nice hotel . tHE rooms were comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurant was very good. It was near to the three counties show that we had come to visit staff was helpul on the whole and friendly
I thought informatiom given when we booked in was lacking , such as having to book a table in the restaurant before we went in for dinner, and also just generally where things was in the hotel also we were not told of any special offers when I made the bookin g
The location and the building .. I love the countryside and old buildings and being right close to Malvern hills and the Priory I was very happy. The bell ringing in the evening I could listen to no problem.
The location of the hotel was convenient for the town. The restaurant was reasonably priced and of excellent quality (with the exception of the coffee!). The room was comfortable if a little warm. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Just the coffee!
The location was excellent and the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was modern and the breakfast was really good with plenty of variety.
The veue was lovely, close to the Priory and town of Malvern. The food was very good - breakfast and 2 dinners in the dining room, and the option of the comfortable bar was good. The reception staff were helpful when I wanted to change my room so I could be nearer to my friend'S.
No complaints. I really enjoyed my stay and would recomend the Abbey to friends and family.Thank you for an enjoyable 3 days!
I was virtually ignored on arrival having just struggled from the car park with all my luggage. Both upon Arrival and departure staff watched me struggling with bags etc. At reception I was handed my key with no further information and again watched trying to pick up bags. On checkout exactly the same service. I was shocked at the experience in the hotel and will never stay again nor recommend!
